Pharmacy is a great career to get into. The starting salary is at least $90,000 and as long as you graduate pharmacy school and pass the boards, even if you get D’s all through it, you’ll still get a good high paying job! Just please make sure this is what you want to do, don’t do it because I’m telling you to do it, try to get a job in a pharmacy now to see if you like it. I went to pharmacy school for a year and dropped out because I hated it, but I still work as a technician at CVS, but now I go to a different college for a completely different major. It’s also not just counting pills all day, it’s a tough job with a lot of responsibility, and of course the risk of making a mistake and killing someone, but then again you don’t have to become a retail pharmacist, with a pharmacy degree you also have a lot of different optoins to do, you don’t have to work at CVS or Walgreens for the rest of your life. Also be prepared for long days if you go into retail pharmacy, my pharmacists work 12 hour days every day they work, which is about 4 days a week, but they say that you get used to the long hours. Most of the people I work with are pharmacy students, which is 6 years at least to get your degree, but again worth it in the long run. With a pharamcy degree, you will never be out of work or have cash flow problem (unless you are a compulsive gambler). Hope this helps!
