i’m currently a senior in high school, i’m currently searching for pharmacy school and i found it’s a good thing to have some curricular activities related to pharmacy like shadowing office or workplaces

is there anything they can do to help me get that job or help me with employment ?
they live in diff states as me so i can’t really ask them ( just came up with the questions)

pharmacy tech positions?
upyr1 asked the question:
I’m looking at the pharmacy tech courses at the local community college
I’ve heard some one say pharmacies want to train you or hire some one with two years experience. As I have taken a lot of IT courses and have not found employment the last thing I want is to take a bunch of classes and still not find employment.
don’t give me the link for IT jobs
Thanks,

Are there any jobs involving pharmaceuticals without becoming an actual pharmacist?
Megbee asked the question:
Hello,
I’m interested in a career in the pharmaceutical industry, but I’m already a college student and a biology major. I do not want to change schools or majors, and I do not want to become a full-fledged pharmacist (too much school, haha). I was wondering what kind of training I would need in order to do something involving pharmacy. I think a bachelor’s in biology will help me alot, but I want to concentrate on this area mostly.
Does anyone have any advice?
I’m looking more into working with the actual drugs and trying to stay away from business/marketing.

I need help! I’m killing myself for pharmacy school?
joeyschiliro asked the question:
Hi everybody. I think I am stressing out too much about what it takes to get into pharmacy school. I am an excellent student, but worry how many extracurriculars these schools expect me to do, and when I should work in a “health related industry,” and for how long. I plan to enter the Boston Marathon, so training takes a long time, and I have no other time for other extracurriulars like clubs and whatnot.
If there is anyone out there, who is in pharmacy school, or knows what it takes, I could really really use this advice about how they did it, and what I need to do. I know everyone is different, but I really need help. Thanks!

Giant Eagle Pharmacy, disturbing?
Ashley D. asked the question:
So I work at this pharmacy and someitmes they drop pills on the floor or in the trashcan and then just put them in patient’s bottles. The pharmacy is very dirty. The people are under trained and someone got the wrong prescription the other day. Is anything they’re doing illegal or can be reported? I hate how filthy everything is.

Is $15.65/hour for an Assistant Manager at CVS/Pharmacy good?
cvs_pharmacy_assistant_manager asked the question:
I was just hired as an Assistant Manager at a CVS/Pharmacy in California and I have no Management experience. I’ve only been a Supervisor once and that was at my most recent job. In that previous job I was making $10/hour…which was the highest paying job I’ve ever had. CVS/Pharmacy is going to pay me $42,000/year which they said breaks down to about $15.65/hour due to the 48 hour work-weeks. (Managers work four “10 hour” days and one “8 hour-overtime” day a week.) My question to all of you is….did I get screwed or is this fair pay? Considering that I’m in my early 20’s and I have no Management experience…I would like to think that this is a great deal for me. But I can’t help but wonder if I’m getting screwed…anyone got any feedback for me? Also, if any of you out there have worked at CVS/Pharmacy before or still do….how do you like it? Can you tell me what to expect? Is it gonna suck? I’m about to begin my training there and I’m curious. THANKS EVERYONE, I APPRECIATE IT!
